IAAP SLiA Nomination Application

The Strategic Leader in Accessibility (SLiA) honors recognition award from the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP), a division of G3ict, is awarded to a select few nominees that have made outstanding strategic and impactful contributions to accessibility inclusion in private, non-profit, education, or government.

Nominees can nominate themselves or nominate someone else. Recognition awards will be given out annually in October at the M-Enabling Summit. 

The term "accessibility" may cover many areas, including:

Built and digital environments
Community
Customer service
Public realm
Workplace practices

The Candidate must currently or in the past have stood out among their peers for leading "strategic accessibility inclusion work" that has driven a sustainable shift in culture, services, or products. Work that is significant and beyond one's current employer or industry.

The Candidate currently or in the past must have demonstrated leadership that positively impacted people with disabilities. In this case, the term "leader" is not intended solely for those in leadership-level employment positions but has demonstrated a proven capability to influence impactful inclusive systemic change.

The SLiA honors committee will award nominees solely on the information provided in this nomination application. Complete the whole application. 

SLiA Nomination Requirements

Who is Eligible to Apply:

Nominees must be an IAAP individual member or employed by an IAAP organizational member in good standing.
Non-IAAP members can nominate someone.
Current employees of G3ict/IAAP cannot be nominated.
Previous G3ict/IAAP employees and consultants can be nominated for duties unrelated to past G3ict/IAAP work.
Current IAAP Global Leadership Council and SLiA Honors Committee members cannot be nominated.
